Bring on 2026!
After 15 incredible years of growing RIBS into what we believe is the best 5K and adult soccer/volleyball experience in the country, it's time for us to make some changes.
We are pausing the 2026 RIBS Soccer Tournament and will soon launch a RIBS Over-30 Coed Soccer League alongside the Spring 2026 GMSA season at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
The decision not to host the soccer tournament this year hasn’t come easily or without emotion, but the size of the commitment and the effort required to sustain it is now too much for the Vinson family and the volunteer committee that runs it.
Our commitment to fundraising for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital remains. Rylee’s Run 5k and the RIBS Volleyball Tournament will take place as usual, along with the new RIBS Over-30 Coed Soccer League.
What we built together so far still amazes us. Over the last 15 years, RIBS raised more than $400,000 for children’s charities, growing from a 17-team soccer tournament in 2010 to what we achieved in 2025: 1,350 athletes raising $60,000 through a dozen fundraising sources. It’s still hard to fully grasp the impact of all you’ve helped us do FOR THE KIDS.
We’re deeply grateful for the generosity of our soccer community, and we’re incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. We truly believe these changes will allow RIBS to evolve thoughtfully and continue doing what matters most—FOR THE KIDS—for years to come.
See you on the field, course and court!
THANK YOU,
The Vinson Family
